Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the Awami League had turned the country into a crematorium by talking about building a golden Bengal. Tears and blood flowed from house to house. For the past 15 and a half years, the rampage of oppression continued. But we want to build a society without discrimination.

He said this in a large staff meeting organized by Zilla Jamaat at Jhenaidah Wazir Ali School and College grounds on Thursday (October 17) afternoon.

He said, I want to build a state based on Quran and Sunnah. When we come to government, we will not let a single youth’s hand remain idle. I will give work to all the youth. All the youth of this country will be proud youth. No one will be neglected in the society. We will produce skilled men and women with morals.

He congratulated the youth and said that they have succeeded in the movement against oppression. He said to the youth, you take responsibility and build the country. Come forward with the message of goodness and sacrifice with the message of the ideals of the Prophet.

He also said that Mr. Obaidul Quader said that if Awami League loses power, five lakh people will be killed in the country. But it didn’t happen. But they wanted it and conspired to prevent civil war in the country. So that foreigners enter the country on that occasion. They wanted to destabilize society. That conspiracy is still going on. But change is the grace of Allah. Nowhere did we Jamaat workers cheat. He mentioned the verses of the Holy Qur’an and said, Allah’s help is sufficient for us. I will tell the present government that no one will be allowed to act as a monogamist. If you go in the right direction, I will fully cooperate. I will behave responsibly. We have to learn from the past, those who said this is the land of my parents, I will not run away, but they could not keep their word. Leaders and activists fled the country.

He said, our demand is to bring them back to the country and do a proper trial. He expressed his regret and said, “I felt that the scholars were oppressed but could not do anything.” An ocean is made of tears and blood. He complained that justice was done wrong in the court. 11 of our leaders were killed in kangaroo coats. Referring to the year 2017, he said, I came to the house of two martyrs. A notice was given to leave the district after 15 minutes at one’s house and after entering the house of Shaheed Ibnul Parvez. He passionately embraced a martyred child. This was the situation from 2009 to 2024. All our offices are locked and sealed. Cases were filed in the name of leaders, houses were demolished with bulldozers in Satkhira district. The party’s registration was revoked. They were expelled after only four days. We don’t want chaos. We will file a case, seek justice through the courts. I don’t know if I will get justice.

He also said that if the Jamaat comes to power, the women will be locked inside the house. But according to the ideals of the Prophet, women can play a role in the development of society with dignity. If we get the responsibility, we will give dignity to women, we will hold our own dignity.

Referring to the corruption of the previous government, he said that they destroyed the country through syndicates through corruption. If we get responsibility, crooks will not dare to bribe and cheat, they will not be allowed to cheat. Justice-based society will be built.

District Jamaat Amir Professor Ali Azam Md. Abu Bakr also spoke under the chairmanship of Central Executive Council member Mubarak Hussain, Central Working Council member Maulana Azizur Rahman, District Secretary Professor Abdul Awal, District Student Shibir President Moniruzzaman and other district and upazila Jamaat leaders.
