BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said that the purpose of the interim government should be clarified. 

He said that a section on social media is spreading misinformation against the anti-discrimination movement. These culprits of fascism must be resisted. Despite the fall of the fascist Hasina, democracy has not yet been established. Hasina’s ghosts are trying to destroy the people’s uprising, people must be vigilant so that fascism does not return again. 

Addressing the Chief Advisor, Nazrul Islam Khan said, “We are ready to give reasonable time for reforms, but you have to make your intentions clear.”

He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at a memorial meeting of Jamiat Ulamae Islam Bangladesh at the Engineers Institution auditorium in the capital on Saturday. The organization organized the discussion on the ‘life and work’ of former MP and minister Mufti Muhammad Waqqas, the pioneer of Islamic politics in post-independence Bangladesh. 

This member of the BNP Standing Committee said that the ghosts of fascist Hasina are still alive in the administration. The people of the country want the fall of fascism forever. The blood of the martyrs of the anti-dictatorship student uprising cannot be dishonored. The nation has been freed from a long period of misrule. It is our religious duty to ensure that this type of mismanagement does not sit on the shoulders of the people.

I have been to Bangladesh several times on his invitation, his hospitality impressed me. He was a member of the National Parliament and Minister of State of Bangladesh. During this time, he worked with devotion for the establishment of Islamic government and the welfare of the country and nation. He has led Jamiat in Bangladesh for a long time. I am happy to participate in the memorial service of this great man through video message.   

Jamiat Ulamae Hinder (India) Nazem Maulana Syed Azhar Madani said in a video message that Mufti Muhammad Waqqas was the spokesman of Darul Uloom Deoband and the crown of the scholarly society of Bangladesh. Individuals like him are rare in the world.

Incidentally, Mufti Muhammad Waqqas (r.h.) died on March 31, 2021 while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Russell National Gastroliver Institute Hospital in the capital. He was 74 years old at the time of his death. He is the father of three sons and four daughters.

Mufti Mohammad Waqqas was the Minister of State for Religion and Water Resources in the Ershad government. He was elected Member of Parliament several times from Jessore-5 Constituency. He is also known as the top scholar of the country. He also served as Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Qaumi Madrasa Education Board Befak, Co-Chairman of Hayatul Uliya and Advisor to Hefazte Islam Bangladesh.
