Adviser on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of the Interim Government commented that the current President Md. Sahabuddin has lied about the resignation of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Asif Nazrul
He made this comment while talking to reporters at his office in the Ministry of Law at the Secretariat on Monday (October 21).
Asif Nazrul said, ‘There is a question whether he has the qualifications to hold this position. If he sticks to his statement then the matter will go to the advisory council and further decision will be taken.’
He said, “The President said that he did not receive the resignation letter of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It involves lying and breaking his oath. Because he himself said in his address to the nation at 11:20 pm on August 5 with the three army chiefs, the former prime minister submitted his resignation letter to him and he accepted it.
