No one involved in genocide can be exempted: Maulana Abdul Halim

Maulana Abdul Halim, assistant secretary general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, said that no one involved in the massacre can be exempted.


He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the meeting and exchange of views with the family members of the 3 martyrs of Nawabganj and Hakimpur upazilas in the anti-discrimination student-public movement at Birampur Government College Auditorium on Monday (October 7) at 9 am.

He said that the fascist Awami League government, including Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir, has oppressed the opposition leaders and activists, scholars and ulama even regardless of religion and caste. For the past 15 years, they have illegally exercised power and run a steam roller of misrule and misrule over the nation. Dissenting citizens had no rights. The sky and air of Bangladesh were shaken by their violence. More than 1,500 people were killed and more than 30,000 people were injured in the students’ mass uprising, which is a burning example of Awami fascism. There is no crime against humanity that they have not committed. They must face the law and be punished.

He also said that the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations must be uninterrupted. In this regard, Jamaat-e-Islami will fully cooperate with the administration. Observance of religious festivals is a religious and constitutional right of all citizens. The rights of all will be guaranteed on the basis of merit, merit, honesty and morality, not on the basis of party and religion. There should be no discrimination in any field including employment. Fairness will be the criterion. He called upon the people present to establish a society based on justice and fairness.

After the discussion and meeting, the chief guest Maulana Abdul Halim had a short discussion with the journalists of electronic and print media of 4 upazilas in the teachers common room of Birampur Government College.

In this exchange meeting, 1 lakh tk were paid to the 3 martyr families and earlier each family was given another 1 lakh tk.
