The interim government is going to cancel eight days of national mourning, including the historic March 7 and August 15.

The post given on the Facebook page of the Chief Adviser informed – Historical March 7, March 17 is the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day, August 5 is the birth anniversary of Sheikh Hasina’s brother Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal, August 8 is the birth anniversary of Sheikh Hasina’s mother Bangmata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib, August 15 Bangabandhu’s death anniversary and National Mourning Day, Sheikh Hasina’s younger brother Sheikh Russell Day on October 18, National Constitution Day on November 4 and Smart Bangladesh Day on December 12 are being cancelled.
It is said that considering the recent context, the Advisory Council has decided to cancel these national days.
In a letter signed by the then Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain on October 7, the concerned department was informed about this decision and instructed to take necessary measures in this regard.
