Former Member of Parliament and former Minister of State for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumdar has been arrested.
He was arrested by the Kafrul Thana police from a house in Gulshan in the capital in a case filed in connection with the killing of students in the anti-discrimination student movement demanding quota reform.
On Friday (October 18) at 2:15 a.m., Kafrul Police Station OC Kazi Golam Mostafa confirmed the arrest and said, “The owner of SS Agro Complex, former State Minister for Industries and former Member of Parliament of Dhaka-15 Constituency Kamal Ahmed Majumdar has been arrested. The face of the mass movement of students After former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country on August 5, Kamal Ahmed Majumder also went into hiding like other ministers of state and members of parliament. There are multiple cases against him.”
Golam Mostafa also said that he was arrested in the case filed at Kafrul police station regarding the murder of the student. He said that he will be handed over to the court for remand tomorrow Saturday afternoon.
