Export earnings up 6.78 percent in September: EPB

Bangladesh’s export earnings increased by 6.78 percent in September despite labor unrest in the garment sector.

According to Export Development Bureau (EPB) data, Bangladesh’s export earnings in September reached US$ 3.51 billion, which is US$ 220 million more than the same period last year.

Export Development Bureau (EPB) Vice Chairman Anwar Hossain gave this information at a press conference regarding export income review at the Secretariat on Wednesday (October 9).

He said, they have prepared the data based on real time shipment data as per NBR Assyakuda World.

He said, “From now on, we will present a detailed analysis of each month’s export income.”

According to EPB data, the export earnings of Bangladesh increased by 5.04 percent to 11.37 dollars in the first quarter of the current financial year (July-September). It was $10.82 billion in the same period in FY2024.
