Inspector General of Police (IGP) Moinul Islam said, ‘There is no chance for anyone to get away with committing a crime. No one will be exempted even if he gives political identity. Eighty-six operations will be conducted after autumn Durga Puja to stop terrorist activities.

The police chief said these things in response to a question from reporters after visiting Ramakrishna Math and Temple in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

The Inspector General of Police said, ‘We will start a 100-day operation after Puja to deal with robbery, extortion and terrorist activities along with drug and traffic management. From time to time, we would like to take into consideration the concerns you have and the complaints that come to us. May we prevent incidents of deterioration of the law and order situation.’

Requesting information about all crimes including extortion and terrorist activities to be reported to the law enforcement agencies, the IGP said, ‘I would say – if any news seems to be sensitive, then report it to the law enforcement agencies immediately. Whether you know it on social media or otherwise, let us know. Hide your identity. Whether it is terrorist activity or extortion, keep silent and see if there is no system or not. We are with you, we are with everyone. We want to take Bangladesh forward.’
