Mohammad Salim Uddin, Central Executive Council member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Emir of Dhaka Metropolitan North has called upon everyone to unite under the flag of Jamaat to establish a society of justice and fairness in the country.
Apart from this, he called for an end to the anti-human politics in the country by identifying and prosecuting the murderers after the August victory.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the anti-discrimination student-public movement organized by the Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan North’s Mohammadpur West Police Station in the capital’s Mohammadpur on Friday morning.
Thana Amir Dr. Mu. Shafiur Rahman presided over the event and Central Majlis Shura Member and Zone Director Ziaul Hasan and Mohammadpur South Thana Amir Sakhawat Hossain were present as special guests.
Thana Naib Amir Mahadi Hasan, Secretary Masuduzzaman, Thana Working Council members Noore Alam Siddiqui, Ruhul Amin, Ashraful Alam and Abul Kalam Azad and others were present.
The chief guest inquired about the family members of the 4 martyrs and provided financial assistance.
Jamaat leader Salim Uddin said that martyrs of August revolution are the best children of the nation. Martyrdom is God’s decision and great honor. Our children martyred with a smile for the overthrow of the tyrants and the end of oppression. Allah Rabbul Alamin has given a unique status to the martyrs by calling them alive by forbidding them to be called dead in the Holy Word. Martyrs are so dignified that in the Hereafter they are honored with the great honor of interceding for 70 people.
He mentioned the August revolution again and said that our brave children sacrificed their lives for the establishment of a discrimination-free and just society. Dictatorship and fascism were sitting like a stone on the neck of the nation. People were killed indiscriminately like birds by turning the state forces into party forces. Which is unprecedented in world history. Therefore, in the larger interest of the country and the nation, these criminals should be brought to justice.
Salim Uddin said, martyrs have brought us new freedom. The entire nation is proud of them along with their families. Therefore, the state should ensure their respect and dignity. Schools, colleges, universities, madrasas, hospitals, philanthropic and charitable institutions should be established in the country in memory of the martyrs. Everything possible should be done to rehabilitate the families of the martyrs along with proper treatment of the injured. If necessary, arrangements should be made for the treatment of the injured outside the country. Jamaat will always be by their side in this work, Inshallah.
He said in reference to the oppression and persecution of Jamaat by the fallen government, Awami League brutally hanged and killed our top leaders Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, Mohammad Kamaruzzaman, Abdul Quader Molla, Mir Kasem Ali in the name of justice in order to take political revenge. Allama Delwar Hossain Saeedee, the world-renowned mufassir, was brutally martyred in the wrong treatment. Similarly, Professor Ghulam Azam, Maulana AKM Yusuf and Maulana Abdus Sobhan were killed in a planned manner. Basically Jamaat-e-Islami has been the victim of most oppression while confronting the oppressors.
Metropolitan Uttar Amir said that the students and masses had formed an irresistible movement against fascism mainly for the establishment of a discrimination-free society and justice in all areas. But this movement was not smooth at all, rather this movement won at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives. Therefore, in suppressing this movement, zero tolerance must be shown for those who have indulged in crimes against humanity. The murderers must be brought under the law and brought to justice. For this, the country needs a humanitarian political party. Jamaat is working long term to fill that gap. We are committed to the liberation, welfare and development of people. Therefore, if Jamaat is given the responsibility of running the state, it is possible to make the country a corruption-free welfare state in just 5 years.
He urged everyone to make united efforts to establish that dream society.
