The Indian Border Guard Force (BSF) returned the body of Bangladeshi youth Kamal Hussain (33) a day after he was shot dead at the Comilla border.
The process of handing over the bodies started at Bibi Bazar border in Comilla around 8:30 pm on Tuesday (October 8). Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) took over the body around 9 pm.
Kamal Hossain is the son of Idu Mia of Kuriapara village of Upazila.
BGB-10 Comilla Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md. Iftekhar Hossain confirmed this information.
Earlier, BSF shot and killed Kamal Hossain at Paharpur border near Jashpur BGB camp of Comilla Sadar Dakshin Upazila on Monday around 7 pm. Later they took Kamal’s body in an Indian ambulance.
Lt. Col. Md. Iftekhar Hossain said that BGB received the body of Kamal, who was killed by BSF firing at the Comilla border, from BSF at around 9 pm after the flag meeting. At that time, a delegation of BGB along with Deputy Commander of 10 BGB Battalion Major Arafat and police were present. After all the formalities, Kamal Hussain’s body was handed over to his relatives.
