BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that elections are the number one priority for the interim government.

There are a couple of people in the interim government who want to stop the spirit of this revolution, I have talked about removing them.’
He said, ‘those who have been de-promoted for 15 years should be promoted impartially.’
Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘Judiciary, especially the High Court, who have been appointed, in consideration of all parties – I have spoken about them. Talked about the removal of Dalkana judges, told to appoint a new PP (Public Prosecutor).’
Mirza Fakhrul has expressed his concern to the chief advisor about the fact that those arrested in corruption, murder and murder cases are being granted bail. “Also, I want to withdraw the false case against the leaders and activists of the opposition party during the Awami League period.”
He said, ‘The fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina is staying in India. From there he is campaigning various false rumors. I have asked to talk to the Government of India about this, the Interim Government has said that they will talk. I have told to bring to attention those who are planning to cause trouble in the mountains. They should be arrested, action should be taken against them.’
