Abdul Hannan Masood, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, said that the street program will be announced soon to demand the resignation of the president.
He said this to reporters after filing a case at Shahbag police station on Monday (October 21) against Sheikh Hasina and Chhatra League leaders for allegedly attacking ordinary students in Dhaka University during the anti-quota movement.
Abdul Hannan Masood said, “President has deceived the nation about Sheikh Hasina’s resignation. The President has lost his capacity to hold office, and must resign immediately. The anti-discrimination student movement will soon announce a street program to demand the president’s resignation. I do not want to see the president in office any more.’
Earlier, anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Mahin Sarkar filed a case against Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader in the Shahbagh police station for the attack on ordinary students in Dhaka University on July 15.
In this case, 387 people including the Central President and Secretary of Chhatra League and the Branch President and Secretary of Dhaka University have been named as 1,000 anonymous accused.
It may be noted that recently a newspaper mentioned that President Md Sahabuddin said that he does not have the resignation letter of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The newspaper wrote, in an interview, the President said, ‘I heard that she (Sheikh Hasina) has resigned. But I don’t have any documentary evidence. I have failed despite many attempts. He may not have had time.’
