On October 7 last year, Hamas, the armed organization of the Palestinian liberation movement, fired thousands of rockets at Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip. 1,400 people were killed in Israel. After years of oppression in the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli forces intensified. More than 40,000 Palestinians have lost their lives and more than 90,000 have been injured in military operations since that day. Most of the casualties were civilians.

There have been several incidents of violence along the Lebanese border since the start of the Israeli offensive in Gaza. Both countries have evacuated civilians from the border. Hezbollah controls Lebanon’s northern border. Hundreds of fighters have been killed so far in the conflict with Israel. However, now the two countries have crossed the border area and started attacking from each other’s border well inside the mainland. The death toll is gradually increasing.
