The Lebanese armed organization Hezbollah claimed to have attacked a military intelligence unit base on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, Israel. A state of emergency has been declared in Tel Aviv following the attack.
Hezbollah said it attacked the base of the Gilat military intelligence unit 8200 on the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv.
Meanwhile, missile attack sirens were heard in Tel Aviv shortly after the attack. At this time, flights at the city’s Ben Gurion Airport were temporarily suspended.
Hizbullah has claimed earlier that the missile attack was carried out on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Hizbullah also announced the launch of medium-range rockets at Tel Aviv and Haifa for the first time.
It has been claimed that the bombing was carried out at the ‘Stella Maris naval base’ in the northwestern city of Haifa.
The Israeli military said there were no casualties in the attack.
Meanwhile, four people, including a child, were killed in an Israeli airstrike near the main government hospital in southern Lebanon.
A source told Reuters news agency that the attack took place in the car park of Rafiq Hariri Hospital.
According to the Ministry of Health, 24 people were injured. This attack was one of a total of 13 attacks in South Beirut on Monday evening. On the other hand, the Israeli military says that they are attacking facilities linked to Hezbollah.
