Hefazte Islam Bangladesh also demanded the removal of President Sahabuddin Chuppu and the banning of Awami League for genocide. Custodial Amir Allama Muhibbullah Babunagri and Secretary General Maulana Sajedur Rahman made this claim in a statement on Tuesday (October 22). At the same time, they also welcomed the decision to remove March 7 and August 15 from the list of national days.

In the statement, they said, the current President Sahabuddin Chuppu admitted to the countrymen in a state speech before the receipt of the alleged illegal resignation letter of the former Prime Minister, but recently denied it in an interview, he has contradicted himself and at the same time broke his oath. We consider this president, a confidant of fascist Hasina, an enemy of the July Revolution and demand his speedy removal. Those who commit treason in the spirit of the July Revolution will be rejected as public enemies.

The leaders said, I applaud the interim government for canceling the national days of March 7 and August 15 created by the fascists. After the independence of Bangladesh in 1971 through a bloody people’s war, the father of the fascist Sheikh Hasina established a one-party dictatorship. He created a terrorist organization called Rakshibahini, killed thousands of clerics, ulama and opposition leaders and brutally tortured dissidents. The eloquent dictator Mujib set the precedent of extrajudicial killings and election rigging in independent Bangladesh. The unrestrained looting of his party led to the famine of the 1870s. Millions of people in the country died of starvation in that famine.

They also said that Mujib, the father of Awami fascism, banned all newspapers except four to suppress dissent. To make his fascist rule more absolutist, he banned all political parties and formed a one-party bakshal. In this way, fascist Mujib became the killer of the dream of a new Bangladesh state achieved by the blood of lakhs of martyrs.

Leaders said, Mujib’s reign of seventy-two to seventy-five was suppressed during the reign of his dictatorial daughter Sheikh Hasina. Fascist Hasina nurtured a group of flattering progressive editors, journalists and intellectuals to cover up her father’s infamy. He imposed his father as the father of the nation. Starting from Pilkhana and Shapla Chattar, last July-August also carried out one after another massacre. He eventually fled to India in the face of a student uprising.

The leaders also said, I strongly urge the interim government to ban the Awami League and its organs because of the killing of BDR, 5 May Shapla and the massacre of students in 2021 and 2024. As they have not been banned yet, Awami fascism is getting a chance to plot one counter-revolution after another. There is no alternative to ban the Awami League if the student revolution is to be more integrated and successful.
