In a separate operation in Savar, 17 rounds of bullets, counterfeit notes and heroin were recovered. Three people have been arrested.
According to the police, the Savar police station has recovered 17 rounds of ammunition looted during the anti-discrimination movement. Among them, seven rounds of china rifle bullets, nine rounds of short gun bullets and one round of gas gun bullets were recovered.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Savar Model Police Station Md. Jewel Mia told Yugantar that on Monday night at around 10:00 p.m. based on a tip-off, a smart team of the police recovered the following bullets lying open in a pile of garbage in the backyard of the Chairman’s Seresta office in Dakshin Para area under Savar police station. However, no one has been arrested in this incident.
Earlier, police raided Birulia area of Savar on Sunday night and arrested two people with 57 fake notes of 50 rupees. Md. Abu Sayem (55), and Md. Said Sheikh (19) were arrested.
In another raid, the police arrested a heroin dealer from Savar’s Bank Colony area in Savar. His name is Billal Hossain (27). 5.55 grams of drug heroin was recovered from the arrested person.
