In Chittagong, the real owner of the land is kept in the dark and the land of one person is registered in the name of another. The gang has stockpiles of old government stamps, fake documents, registrar and land office seals. Anwara residents Nurul Islam, Abdul Salam, Lokman, Ayub Ali, Shah Alam, Omar Gani, Jai Kandi Dey, Tarek, Sultan, Arif, Tofail, Ariful Islam, Tarek, Sultan and Roni are in this fraud ring. And their assistants are the record keeper and copyist of the sub-registrar’s office.
Chittagong district registrar Mission Chakma said that people sell land and register it in urgent need of money. We basically complete the registry by verifying the documents, accompanying NIDs, identifiers, photos, etc. Not in exchange for money, there have been two incidents of carelessly registering one’s land as another owner.
