Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, said to President Md. Sahabuddin, “There is still time, leave the luxury of Bangabhavan and look at your own path.”
He said this at a protest rally organized on Monday (October 21) night at the foot of Dhaka University’s Raju sculpture to demand prosecution of those involved in the attack on students by the Chhatra League and the banning of the Chhatra League.
Hasnat Abdullah said, ‘We do not accept the constitution of fascist Hasina. Hasina must come to this country and face justice. Fascist Hasina should not be rehabilitated, she should be hanged.’
He said, ‘I would like to ask Asif Sir and the Home Affairs Advisor, if the students have to come to Raju Bhaskar even after two and a half months to ban the BCL and arrest the BCL leaders, then what is your job?’
Warning the administration and the media, he said, ‘If you think that fascists will get along with Hasina, then you are thinking wrong. Students have chosen Hasina’s alternative, they will not hesitate to choose your alternative. Many media, which have strengthened the hand of the fascist Hasina government by praising it, the fascist media has again reared its head. Started writing the column. That Shruti-Vandana and column writing ended on August 5. Fascist media will not be rehabilitated either.’
Anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Sanjida Afia Aditi, Hasib Al Islam, Abdul Hannan Masud, Abdul Quader, Abu Bakr Majumdar, Rifat Rashid and Chittagong University coordinator Russell Ahmed spoke at the protest rally.
