Bangladesh received remittances of 1.55 billion 3 million dollars on the 19th day of October

In the first 19 days of this October, 1.55 billion 3 million dollars remittances came to Bangladesh. This marks an average collection of $8.7 million per day.

On Monday (October 21), the updated report of Bangladesh Bank has informed this information about remittance collection.

As such, compared to the same period in September, Bangladesh received $1.47 billion in remittances, indicating a significant increase over the October figure.

The remittances came into the country through various banking channels. Of this, 408 million dollars came through state-owned banks. Seven million eight million dollars came through specialized banks. Besides, 104 million 96 million dollars came through private banks.

4.1 million dollars remittances came to Bangladesh through branches of foreign banks.

According to Bangladesh Bank, expatriates sent 546.3 million dollars from October 13 to 19, 56.19 million dollars from 6 to 12 October and 42.47 million dollars in the first five days of the month.
