The US Embassy gave rescue equipment to the fire service

The US Embassy in Dhaka has handed over various types of rescue equipment to the Fire Service and Civil Defense of Bangladesh. They were handed over in a ceremony at the Fire Service and Civil Defense Training Complex on Sunday.

The equipment handed over includes 8 water rescue boats, 110 life vests, 28 custom bags, 89 carabiners, 20 whistles, 120 jump suits, 5 boxes of N-95 masks, 100 small and 100 large hazmat medical bags.

On behalf of the embassy, ​​Deputy Ambassador Megan Boldin and Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense Brigadier General Muhammad Zaheed Kamal handed over these equipments. Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence, Principal of Training Complex along with Fire Service and US Embassy officials were present on the occasion. Lt. gave a welcome speech. Colonel Rezaul Karim and Brigadier General Muhammad Zaheed Kamal gave the presidential address. Adjutant of Training Complex Mohammad Mamun conducted the program.

Speaking as the chief guest, Megan Baldin said, “This grant is a testament to our enduring partnership and shared commitment to disaster response and saving lives.”

A list of equipment was handed over to the fire service by the US Embassy. At this time, the crest was handed over to the director general of the department by the embassy and to the chief guest by the fire service. Finally the invited guests collectively observed the equipment display and took part in the photo session.
