Sirat Conference is being held for the first time at Jagannath University (JUB). Chairman of As Sunnah Foundation and popular Islamic speaker Sheikh Ahmadullah will be the chief guest.
The Sirat conference will start from 3:30 pm on Thursday, October 24.
The organizing students said that for the first time Sirat conference is going to be held in Jagannath University. There is a separate seating area for women.
It is known that Sheikh Professor Mokhtar Ahmad and Sheikh Abdul Hai Muhammad Saifullah will also be present at the Sirat conference.
In addition, job vice-chancellor professor Dr. Imam Hafez Maulana of Jagannath University Central Mosque Md. Chalah Uddin and Khatib Hafez Maulana Mufti of Bahadur Shah Park Jame Mosque will be present under the chairmanship of Md. Rezaul Karim.
Ahmed Omar, a student of Islamic History and Culture Department, who is among the organizers, said that due to the anti-Islamic attitude of the previous government, no Islamic program including Sirat Mahfil was organized in the campus for the last 17 years. However, with the help of the current university administration, it is possible to organize the Sirat conference for the first time.
