The head of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Gen. Herze Halevi, claimed that 1,500 fighters of Lebanon’s powerful armed group Hezbollah have been killed.
He also said that their attacks against Hezbollah will continue.
Halevi went to meet the soldiers of the Golani Brigade on Friday (October 18). He said, “We will attack Hezbollah as hard as possible. We killed their commanders. And you are destroying the local command infrastructure.”
Israeli army chief claimed, Hezbollah is sinking day by day.
He said, “Hezbollah is hiding the number of casualties. Hiding information about the death of commanders. We think we have killed 1,500 Hezbollah fighters. We’re understating it. I imagine the results of dozens more attacks.”
The Israeli army officer claimed that Hezbollah fighters were surrendering to them. Which reveals the morale of the armed groups and the level of fighting. However, Hizbullah said that their fighters have put up a strong resistance against the Israeli forces.
Occupier Israel launched a ground offensive in southern Lebanon late last month. Hezbollah fighters have a stronghold there. The Israelis wanted to enter southern Lebanon and remove Hezbollah from there. However, the occupying forces suffered a major setback on the first day of the ground attack. At least 60 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the operation in Lebanon so far.
