8 people have died due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours across the country. At the same time, another 1,100 people were admitted to the hospital.

It said that among the new admissions in the hospital, there are 121 people in Barisal Division, 148 in Chittagong Division, 184 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 242 in Dhaka North City, 160 in Dhaka South City, 143 in Khulna Division. Besides, 40 new patients have been admitted in Rajshahi division, 32 in Mymensingh division, 26 in Rangpur division and four in Sylhet division.
According to the circular, out of the 8 people who died, 2 were men and 6 were women. 234 people have died of dengue so far this year. A total of 47 thousand 50 people have been affected.
Besides, last year, 3 lakh 21 thousand 179 people were admitted to hospital and 1 thousand 705 died due to dengue.
