At least 23 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon. At least 23 people were killed and another 31 wounded late Tuesday night (October 15) in a series of airstrikes in several cities and regions in southern and eastern Lebanon, according to the country’s official statistics.
Anadolu news agency reported this information in a report on Wednesday (October 16).
Lebanon’s official news agency said the attacks targeted the districts of Nabatih, Bint Jbeil and Marzayoun, as well as Tire and Zejin in southern Lebanon. On the other hand, airstrikes took place in Jahleh and West Bekaa districts in East Lebanon.
A statement from Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said five people were killed in an airstrike in the city of Srebbine. Besides, warplanes attacked Khiyam town in Marzayoun district.
The ministry also said three people were killed in an airstrike in the town of Taulin in the same district.
An Israeli warplane attack in Tire district killed 10 people and wounded more than 15 others in Qana city, Lebanese news agency reported.
A statement from the Ministry of Health said that five people, including three children, were killed and 16 others were injured in an attack targeting the city of Riyak in the Jahleh district of eastern Lebanon.
Israel has been carrying out massive airstrikes across Lebanon since September 23, claiming to attack Hezbollah targets. It has killed more than 1500 people and displaced more than 1 million people from their homes so far.
