Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said, ‘We Iranians are not afraid of war. My country is fully prepared for a ‘war situation’.

On October 1, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel in response to attacks in Lebanon and Syria and the killing of Hamas, Hezbollah and IRGC commanders. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to retaliate.

It is known that Iran has started close contact with neighboring countries by increasing diplomatic activities in such a tense situation.

Meanwhile, after Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi visited Iraq on Sunday. He took part in a joint statement after the bilateral meeting of Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussain in the capital Baghdad.

Abbas Aragchi said, ‘We are fully prepared for a war situation. We are not afraid of war. But we don’t want war. We want peace and we will work for a just peace in Gaza and Lebanon. ‘

Earlier, Abbas Aragchi promised that ‘no redline’ would be taken into account to protect the Iranian people and its interests regarding the retaliatory strike by Israel in response to Iran’s recent missile attack. 

In a post on social media X, he wrote, ‘In recent days, however, we have made great efforts to avert the threat of an all-out war in the region. But now I am clearly saying, we will not accept any red line to protect our people and interests.
