A low pressure may develop over Southeast Bay of Bengal. which may later move northwestward and intensify into a pronounced low pressure. Later, it may develop into a cyclone and come ashore, the Indian Meteorological Office said.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Office has predicted a cyclone at the beginning of the month. However, they have not given any glimpse of the storm yet. However, rainfall has been reported to increase in the next five days.
Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque said that the axis of monsoon is extending through Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay of Bengal. Precipitation trend may increase in the beginning of next five days.
