Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, said that this century-old festival has been going on for ages. The doors of this festival are never closed. We can all be of different faiths at the altar of this festival. Some are Hindu, some Buddhist, some Muslim. But we are standing on the same ground. In the same light-air-water, we meditate. Through this awareness our divine thoughts are awakened. Awakened consciousness can no longer be divided by lines of division.

He said that the Awami League will not be able to create the dividing lines that the militant and communal lines have created just for their own interests.

He said these things while visiting the Puja Mandap at Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University on Saturday afternoon.

Rizvi said, those who have heard the message of dispute, they have heard it for political purposes and personal interest. Asking us to destroy this unbreakable bond. We have been living together in this country for thousands of years. Buddhist practice, Hindu practice, Muslim practice. There may be different practices but this festival had no practices. There was a meeting place, a courtyard. We all have to be vigilant so that no one can destroy that premises.

He said, today all Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians are guarding together to make this festival of Durga Puja more lively. So that no nefarious circles can achieve their objectives.

This BNP leader said that the interim government is trying to make this festival more enjoyable. Surely the Creator has and will help us.

Advisor to Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Ministry Supradip Chakma, BNP’s Associate Publicity Secretary Asadul Karim Shaheen, Juba Dal’s Mehbub Masum Shanto and others were present at this time.
