Israel will not attack Iran, but will deal with the country’s challenges with tactics. The decision was taken at a security cabinet meeting held on Thursday night to discuss possible responses to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel last week.
An Israeli official said that no major decision has been taken yet as coordination between Jerusalem and Washington continues.
An Israeli source told The Times of Israel that Israel intends to coordinate with the US on the response. Strategic discussions are continuing between the two sides.
Channel 12 reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant were not allowed to decide on a response before the meeting. Ministers may be asked to approve such arrangements over the phone if necessary.
