The leaders of the Hindu community said in their speech, Awami League has given the title of minority to Hindus, but the Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, no one is a minority, everyone is a citizen of Bangladesh by birth. Stating that the Hindu community is better and safer in the last two months than during the 15-year rule of the Awami League, they said that after the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, attacks and looting were planned on Hindus all over the country, including Baufal. Awami League and other party leaders were with that conspiracy. But Jamaat-e-Islami first guarded the Hindus’ houses and temples. Later other groups also changed their attitude and stood by us.
