On Sunday (October 6), Public Relations Officer of BGB Md. Shariful Islam gave this information.
He said that legal action has been taken against 241 smugglers and 298 Bangladeshi citizens and 24 Indian citizens for illegally crossing the border during BGB’s operations on the border. Besides, 1 thousand 621 Myanmar citizens have been returned to their country after being detained.
Apart from this, the smuggled goods seized include 26 kg 753 grams of gold, 10 kg of silver, 2 kg 993 grams of snake venom, 2 lakh 94 thousand 482 cosmetics and various products.
Recovered weapons include 2 pistols, 1 gun, 10 cocktails and 7 rounds of ammunition.
Besides, 12 lakh 82 thousand 943 pieces of Yaba have been seized by BGB last month.
