Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan North Mohammad Salim Uddin said that Jamaat is committed to the welfare, liberation and development of the masses.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the anti-discrimination student-public movement organized by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Mohammadpur of the capital on Friday morning (October 4).
At this time, he called for the end of anti-human politics in the country by identifying and prosecuting the murderers after the August victory.
Thana Amir Dr. Md. Shafiur Rahman presided over the event as special guests, Central Majlis Shura Member and Zone Director Ziaul Hasan and Mohammadpur South Thana Amir Sakhawat Hossain. Thana Naib Amir Mahadi Hasan, Secretary Masuduzzaman, Thana Working Council members Noore Alam Siddiqui, Ruhul Amin, Ashraful Alam and Abul Kalam Azad and others were present.
The chief guest inquired about the family members of the 4 martyrs and directed financial assistance.
Mohammad Salim Uddin said that the martyrs of the August revolution are the best children of the nation. Martyrdom is God’s decision and great honor. Our children accepted martyrdom with a smile for the overthrow of the tyrants and the end of oppression. Allah Rabbul Alamin has given a unique common status to the martyrs by calling them alive by forbidding them to call the martyrs dead in the Holy Word. Martyrs are so dignified that in the Hereafter they are honored with the great honor of interceding for 70 people. He referred to the August revolution again and said that our brave children had sacrificed their lives for the establishment of a society free from discrimination and justice. Dictatorship and fascism were sitting like a stone on the neck of the nation. People were killed indiscriminately like birds by turning the state forces into party forces. Which is unprecedented in world history. Therefore, in the larger interest of the country and the nation, these criminals should be brought to justice.
He said, martyrs have brought us new freedom. The entire nation is proud of them along with their families. Therefore, the state should ensure their respect and dignity. Schools, colleges, universities, madrasas, hospitals, philanthropic and charitable institutions should be established in the country in memory of the martyrs. Everything possible should be done for the rehabilitation of the martyrs along with their families including proper treatment of the injured. If necessary, the injured should be treated outside the country. Jamaat will always be by their side in this work – Inshallah.
He said in reference to the oppression and persecution of Jamaat by the fallen government, Awami League brutally hanged and killed our top leaders Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, Mohammad Kamaruzzaman, Abdul Quader Molla, Mir Kasem Ali in the name of justice in order to take political revenge. Allama Delwar Hossain Saeedee, the world-renowned mufassir, was brutally martyred in the wrong treatment. Similarly, Professor Ghulam Azam, Maulana AKM Yusuf and Maulana Abdus Sobhan were killed in a planned manner. Essentially, Jamaat-e-Islami has been the most victimized in dealing with oppressors. He urged everyone to unite under the flag of Jamaat to establish a society of justice and fairness in the country.
Metropolitan North Amir said, mainly for the establishment of a discrimination-free society and justice in all areas, the students and the masses formed an irresistible movement against fascism. But this movement was not smooth at all, rather this movement won at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives. Therefore, in suppressing this movement, zero tolerance must be shown for those who have indulged in crimes against humanity. The murderers must be brought under the law and brought to justice. That is why humanitarian political parties are needed in the country. Jamaat is working on long range to fill that void. We are committed to the liberation, welfare and development of people. Therefore, if Jamaat is given the responsibility of running the state, it is possible to make the country a corruption-free welfare state in just five years. He urged everyone to make united efforts to establish that dream society.
