In the streets of Dhaka, knee-deep water and waist-deep water were seen in some places. Due to the accumulation of water, traffic jams have been created on various roads in the morning.
It has been reported that most of the streets of Shantinagar, Shahjahanpur, Malibagh, Motijheel, Kamalapur, Mugda, Basabo, Dhanmondi, Old Dhaka have been flooded.
Basically, the rain started after 7 pm on Wednesday. Continuous rain continued till 8:30 pm. Then it starts again at night.
According to the latest weather bulletin issued on Wednesday night, south southeast direction over Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions. From 45-60 km per hour there may be rain or thundershower with gusty wind temporarily. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
