6 Bangladeshis detained in Panchgarh while infiltrating India

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained six Bangladeshi nationals while illegally entering India through Panchagarh border. They were detained by the members of Ghagra BOP of Panchagarh Sadar under Nilphamari 56 BGB Battalion on Thursday (October 17) night. Police are preparing a case against the six arrested. 

The six arrested are Ganesh Roy (43) of Dabri Jineswari village of Birganj upazila in Dinajpur district, his wife Babita Roy (36), the couple’s 10-year-old son Sukhana Roy, Devendra Roy (22) of Mahanpur village in the same upazila, Jayant Roy (19) of Jatmukundupar village. ) and Ripon Roy (19) of Mahanpur village. 

According to BGB, they came to the border area by paying Tk 1 lakh in cash through Dalal Chakra of Dinajpur district for the purpose of entering India. BGB arrested them while preparing to go to India illegally. BGB said that efforts are underway to arrest the member of the broker circle in this incident.

Captain of Nilphamari 56 BGB Battalion Lt. Col. Sheikh Mohammad Badruddoza said that six Bangladeshis were arrested during illegal entry into India by crossing the border on Wednesday night. Attempts are being made to arrest the members of the Dalal gang in this incident.
